Finished Lucky. That was a really good book. I think I read the entire thing in two days.
Am now trying to read A Heartbreaking Work of... again. It's not so bad. The Josephine Baker book is so boring, that A Heartbreaking Work of... is now somewhat interesting in comparison.
I didn't properly introduce The Josephine Baker Book, titled The Hungry Heart by Jean-Claude Baker, her adopted son. I bought it off Amazon hoping to learn more about the namesake of my blog... but this book is turning out to be more of a giant research paper on his mom. There are so many names and dates I feel like I'm back in History 101. Thankfully there's no quiz. But I do find myself skimming. I hope I can finish it though because I really want to get to the part where she risked her life for the French Resistance during World War II.
